Was Saddam Hussein a fascist, racist, both, or neither ?

I am going to make it easy on myself and just say that he was an evil,greedy and megalomaniacal SOB. He was neither,nor but would have gladly turned from side to the other in a minute if it could bring him more power and wealth. He went too far and paid the price.
