Lithium, Trileptal, Risperdal? Major depression or Bi-polar?

The medication that you are being given is for bipolar, not depression. If your doc was reaching to stabilizers for hard to treat depression, s/he'd probably have you on Lamictal and/or Lithium and an antidepressant (i.e. different stabilizers). In other words, your doc is treating your for bipolar regardless of what label is being attached.
