Is this legal or not?

Is it legal if we use Original DVDs to put up a film fest? The film fest has an entrance fee? So is it legal for us to use original DVDs to put up a film fest where we would get money? Here's the situation: We were planning of putting up an anime film thing in our school where we would use the auditorium to show the anime. We would be charging people in order to get in and watch the anime. Supposing we were to use Final Fantasy Advent Children. So is it legal or not? If not why?
